Essence Cometics released a brand new primer called the Essence Fresh And Fit Awake Primer. I saw that a few South African Beauty Bloggers have been using it and of course I had to visit my local Dischem and try it for myself.
I have been using my Catrice primer which was almost done for and I had to get a new primer anyway. So I picked up Essence Fresh And Fit Awake Primer for only R74.95 which is a steal for a primer.
The Essence Fresh And Fit Awake Primer can be used solo or applied underneath foundation, the light texture of the primer with light-reflecting pigments ensures a smoother, fresher complexion and extends the durability of make-up. with vitamins and cranberry water.
It’s meant to create a healthy glow whilst giving you a pore minimising effect. Essence also released a foundation to pair this primer with, but because of the lack of colour selection I couldn’t find a shade that matches my skin tone.
The texture seems to me creamy when applying it on my face I have noticed how smooth it made my skin look it does contain some light-reflecting particles which Essence Cosmetics does mention in their description. If you aren’t a fan of silicon primers that good news these are not silicon at all, the texture is creamy as mentioned and they feel good on the skin. Foundation applies really well on top of this primer I have even stepped out of the house with no makeup on but because of the light-reflecting particles I just add some of this primer on my face and it helps to not let me look like I am sick, it adds some life to my face.
I have been really enjoying this primer, for the price it’s not too bad at all – the only thing I found is that it didn’t give me that pore minimising effect, other then that this is a perfect budget friendly option, I just wish I good have used this with their foundation to see how they work as a combo.
